Day Off- Albuquerque Route 66

I woke up way to early today. The sun was brilliant and actually hurt my eyes. I set out to see SOMETHING and ended up just driving down Central Blvd, the Historic Route 66. Traffic was terrible and I just didn't have a plan which made the sightseeing difficult. Will research Route 66 better and set out again before I leave. work the next 2 days then to the Festival of Cranes. What fun!!

Albuquerque Weather

all seasons in one day 48 °F

The weather here is strange to me, one minute it's snowing, then raining, sleeting then the sun comes out and the wind howls. Right now, it's cold at 48 degrees and the wind is constantly blowing. There is snow on the Sandia Mountains yet the sun is out with just a few clouds in the sky. I like it, then I don't, especially knowing that it's in the 70's at home in Virginia. I'm off tomorrow but for just one day. I have to go somewhere, just not sure where. My next days off after that though, I am going to the Festival of the Cranes. I have to be there either at dawn or dusk to watch them fly in or out. I hoping to choose dawn. It should prove to be exciting as well as a nice photo opportunity.
Till next time.

Living in Albuquerque

overcast

I will be living in Albuquerque, New Mexico for the next 10 weeks traveling around the city and points close by that attract my attention. I want to photograph the sights I come across.
